Our children & grandchildren deserve to inherit a blue and green, clean planet.
Our overconsumption is exhausting our planets last remaining resources.
The UK’s recycling statistics per capita are scandalously low compared to other countries.
The UK’s current waste management system is polluting our air and soil by incinerating waste and dumping it in landfills and neighbouring countries. A substantial amount of this waste should & could be recycled.
We need to change our householders’ views and habits on the waste that we produce and the importance of recycling and the waste Circular Economy.
The waste recycling industry is overloaded and is in desperate need of improvement.
Simply because others won’t do it. According to Unearthed the government agencies and companies paid by your taxes are overworked and are not able to keep up with their jobs, this means they have to throw perfectly recyclable items and materials off the conveyor belts to be incinerated elsewhere.
Plastics have been around since about 1950 and, that year, its production resulted in about two million tonnes (MT) of plastic pollution. By 2020, the exponential growth in plastic production increased that figure to about 400 MT. At this rate, plastic production is expected to double by 2040 and increase by 2.5 times by 2050. Unless we change how we make and manage plastics, the problem of plastic pollution will keep on growing. – ISO 2022
